Umbra was a large, long-haired black pelted tom with pale green eyes. He is known to cats as the founding leader of ShadowClan, and used the of his name to create the group.
The tom traveled with her companions, Ventus, Flumine, Tontrui and Caelum and originally all lived in a shared territory. After certain circumstances, the group split, and Umbra took his group to live in the marshlands away from the other groups.
He was known to be a fierce opponent in battle, which some say was ironic as he was killed in the first great war between ShadowClan and ThunderClan. His killer was Fulgur Ungue, a grandson of Tontrui. By this, Umbra was the first of the founders to pass away.
